A small ray of hope for animals under Trump is Robert Kennedy IF he gets the power Trump promised him. I believe he'll be tossed out like a used tissue, but we can hope. Kennedy is not the crazy person the Democrats made him out to be. The Democratic party is a vicious group of liars along with Republicans. Kennedy is the only candidate who opposed factory farms and big pharma. The nbr of animal welfare act and food inspectors was cut decades ago. I collected ballot petitions to get him on the ballot bc I thought he might have a chance. Dems refused to meet with him. I understand why he took a chance with Trump, even though it's naive, imo. All his criticisms abt the Dem Party are true. They are not the good guys. Neither party has been a shining star for animals. MAYBE Kennedy will have a chance to improve animal lives if the oligarchs allow it. I'm not holding my breath, voted Jill Stein.
I’ve wondered this too. That Kennedy’s plant based proposals for health and a possible 8 year pause in drug testing for chronic health conditions - it could bring a reprieve for animals in America. Hoping for some good from it all. 💚
If you're referring to life becoming more challenging bc of Trump election, that's true, but rembr this: the majority of Americans do not support Trump. (1) fewer ppl voted in 2024 than the large turnout in 2020, (2)43% of voters would consider a candidate other than Democrat or Republican. (3)60-70% of voters believe the US is going in the wrong direction. Probably more non-voters feel this way. (4)Did more stay home bc they saw no good choice? Compared to other countries the US ranks only 31st in voter turnout. Non-voters say voting has never improved their lives. I argued your life could become worse by not voting. I don't say that anymore bc life HAS become a lot worse despite voting.
Americans are trapped in a 2 party system with BOTH parties controlled by rich oligarchs and their large corporations. They work together to restrict ballot access of 3rd parties and independents. George Washington warned us against political parties in his farewell address, saying they divide people. Americans have to stop voting Democrat or Republican.
